KTH vill kunna använda finare catering både vid större evenemang (cirka 100 gäster och uppåt) och vid mindre tillfällen. Det som avgör är inte antalet deltagare utan sammanhanget: exempelvis prominenta evenemang, besök av framträdande gäster, konferenser, seminarier med mingel eller andra sammankomster där catering och tillhörande tjänster behöver hålla särskilt hög kvalitet. KTH lägger också stor vikt vid hållbarhet och resurshushållning kopplat till catering.
