Description
The National Climate Stakeholder Forum (NCSF) was established by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) in 2022 to function as a consultative forum on climate issues. The purpose of the NCSF is to discuss the key actions that are required to enable the national transition to climate neutrality and resilience. The NCSF met twice in 2022, twice in 2023 and held a meeting in February 2024 with politicians, senior government officials, stakeholders, academics, industry representatives from small and large organisations, members of the farming and agri-food communities, tourism, NGO’s, and other community and voluntary sector representatives in attendance to discuss practical steps to realising the ambitions set out in the Climate Action Plan 2021 and 2023. It is mutually beneficial to all part-taking in the event and gives a mutual understanding of the issues at the heart of the Climate debate.
