Το αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργολαβίας χαρακτηρίζεται ως έργο κατηγοριών «Υδραυλικά» και «Οικοδομικά». Το παρόν έργο περιλαμβάνει όλες τις αναγκαίες εργασίες, που προβλέπεται να εκτελεστούν εντός των ορίων των οικοπέδων ιδιοκτησίας της Ε.ΥΔ.Α.Π. Α.Ε., στις κάτωθι Μονάδες Επεξεργασίας Νερού: — Μ.Ε.Ν. Αχαρνών (Μενίδι), — Μ.Ε.Ν. Πολυδενδρίου (Κιούρκα), — Μ.Ε.Ν. Ασπροπύργου, — Μ.Ε.Ν. Γαλατσίου. Οι 4 προαναφερθείσες Μονάδες Επεξεργασίας Νερού αποτελούν εγκαταστάσεις πρώτης γραμμής, εξαιρετικά σημαντικές για την παραγωγή άριστης ποιότητας πόσιμου νερού. Για τον λόγο αυτόν, οι Μ.Ε.Ν. χρήζουν συνεχούς μέριμνας και συντήρησης, επισκευών, ανακαινίσεων και βελτιώσεων, για την εξασφάλιση της λειτουργικότητάς τους και εκσυγχρονισμό των εγκαταστάσεων τους. Ο κύριος όγκος των εργασιών απαιτείται να πραγματοποιηθεί στη Μ.Ε.Ν. Αχαρνών, τη μεγαλύτερη εγκατάσταση εκ των 4 Μ.Ε.Ν.. Ακολουθεί (από πλευράς αναγκών) η Μ.Ε.Ν. Πολυδενδρίου, η Μ.Ε.Ν. Ασπροπύργου και τέλος, η Μ.Ε.Ν. Γαλατσίου.
