Description
LTM (long term EEG-monitoring), även kallat anfallsregistrering med video-EEG eller bara video-EEG, innebär en kontinuerlig registrering av EEG (elektroencefalogram = ”hjärnvågor”) och samtidig videoregistrering. Syftet är att fånga episoder som misstänks utgöra epileptiska anfall, och såväl EEG-mönster som kliniska tecken analyseras och sätts samman inför slutbedömning. Registreringen pågår vanligen flera dygn. EEG LTM utgör en hörnsten i grundläggande utredning av svårbehandlad epilepsi.
