Description
Donegal County Council’s Regeneration and Development Team is seeking the provision of a Full Integrated Design Team, PSDP and Masterplanning consultancy services to prepare a Regeneration Strategy and Action Plan (“RS and AP”) for Buncrana. The RS and AP is to be prepared in line with the new National Policy ‘Town Centre First – A Policy Approach for Irish Towns’ (“TCFAPA”) and is to be regeneration and renewal focused with a view to strengthening the role, image, capacity, vibrancy, vitality, competitiveness and resilience of Buncrana town centre. It will put place-making at the centre of the value proposition for the town as a means of enabling and attracting investment and regeneration. It will consider key thematic areas including: dereliction and vacancy, housing, regeneration and opportunity sites, tourism, festivals and events, commercial/economic development opportunities, natural and built heritage, community provision, walking, sport and recreation, public realm, the physical environment, biodiversity, climate change and sustainability, parking, access and infrastructure.
