Description
Sligo County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Contractor for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a fully equipped Wellness Room, including a standalone Sensory POD, to support individuals with sensory processing needs. The space will be used by children and/or adults with autism, developmental disabilities, sensory impairments, or emotional regulation needs. Purpose of the wellness room is to provide a standalone area to be available 24/7 to all members of the community with sensory issues (long or short term). The design will support all aspects and ages within the community and surrounding area. The wellness room is designed to support individuals across all age groups, providing a dedicated space for relaxation and stress relief. It offers a calming environment for young children, teenagers facing academic pressures, and has proven beneficial for individuals with dementia. This approach demonstrates a strong commitment to community well-being, inclusiveness, and mental health support.
