Description
The Service provider shall provide the following deliverables, referred to as the Assignment: 1. SPECIFIC AREA OF WORK The main objective of this work is to contribute to GEO-7 by developing LPJmL model implementation (parameterization) of water saving measures that comply with the narratives of the baseline, and both the ‘Tech focused’ and ‘Consumer focused’ transition pathways. These pathways will be run in an integrated manner with IMAGE. In the baseline (reference scenario), the service provider will evaluate how climate change impacts a selection of water scarcity indicators. This reflects the ‘cost of inaction.’ Subsequently, the same water scarcity indicators will be calculated for the two pathways. 2. KEY OBJECTIVES a. Translate the Tech focused and Consumer focused narratives into 2 different parameterisations of water saving measures to be implemented in the LPJmL model. b. Provide a selection of water stress indicators for the baseline/reference and two pathway scenarios. c. Participate as a contributing author in chapter 17 and 18, and others where useful.
