Description

St. Canice’s Girls’ National School comprises a two-storey main school building(1,989m²), including General Purpose Hall, a smaller detached school building (352m2) to the rear. The proposed emergency electrical works apply to the existing electrical installations serving both buildings: The affected installations include the incoming electrical supply, main and sub-distribution equipment, sub-main and final-circuit wiring, small-power installation, earthing and bonding, general lighting, emergency lighting and the fire detection and alarm system. The electrical installations serving the affected buildings are predominantly legacy systems that have been modified and extended on a piecemeal basis over several decades.
