Det är av stor vikt att anbudsgivaren har den kompetens, erfarenhet och förmåga som efterfrågas. Uppdragen kan omfatta samtliga skeden i byggprocessen, inklusive förstudie/utredning, programskede, projekteringsskede (inklusive framtagande av förfrågningshandlingar), produktionsskede och projektavslut. Projekten kan omfatta nybyggnad, ombyggnad, rivning och återbruk.
