Daarnaast is sprake van asbesthoudende materialen en een verouderde functionele inrichting. Deze combinatie maakt renovatie noodzakelijk om het zwembad toekomstbestendig te maken. Voor de realisatie is een bouwbudget beschikbaar van € 4.161.157,00 beschikbaar.
