Upphandlingen avser behandling av insamlat brännbart restavfall. Mängden mat- och förpackningsavfall blandat med inlevererat restavfall bedöms minska under avtalstiden då obligatorisk mat- och förpackningsinsamling från samtliga hushåll implementeras gradvis och ska vara infört under 2026.
