Denna upphandling genomförs med anledning av att FMV fått uppdraget att anskaffa 20 stycken nya Grupptransportbåtar (G-båt 30) till Försvarsmakten. Utöver denna anskaffning ingår optioner på ytterligare upp till 40 stycken G-båt 30 samt reservdelar och utbildning.
