Description
The European Commission is committed to tapping into the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to collaboratively and complementarily drive research to address global challenges. DG CONNECT is the European Commission’s Directorate General responsible for digital policies. Through its Directorate A “Artificial Intelligence Office”, it is tasked to implement the AI Act and promote the development and use of trustworthy AI. Additionally, it focuses on creating solutions for societal good, while also facilitating the implementation of international AI agreements to contribute to a global approach to AI. The purpose of this call for tenders is to develop and test AI-powered solutions for the benefit of the EU as well as wider communities and third countries. The call has two lots, on AI for Cancer imaging (LOT1) and on AI for Electric grid optimisation (LOT2). LOT 1 will explore and demonstrate how AI-powered solutions applied to EU cancer imaging data can be further fine-tuned and applied in other locations and settings covering a large variety of populations, without transferring the underlying sensitive health data.
