Description
Het UMCG wil plasmaferesekolommen aanschaffen voor de plasmaferese behandeling van patiënten. Het betreft patiënten die in aanmerking komen voor een living related niertransplantatie, maar waarbij er geen juiste match is tussen de bloedgroep van de donor en de ontvanger. Voorafgaand aan de transplantatie krijgt de ontvanger een aantal (gemiddeld 3-4) specifieke plasmaferesebehandelingen (ABO-incompatibele plasmaferese). Voor deze behandelingen worden specifieke kolommen gebruikt die bloedgroepantilichamen kunnen verwijderen, waardoor transplantatie over de bloedgroep mogelijk is en de risico’s op afstoting geminimaliseerd worden.
