Description
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking competitive tenders from suitable Specialist Engineering Consultants (the Inspector) to undertake Arched Vault (AV) Structural Condition Inspections at Connolly (CY) Station assets where normal access is prohibitive to conventional inspection methodologies. The successful Applicant must be able to supply appropriately qualified personnel to undertake the inspections in line with the specification issued at ITT stage. This will include: an on-site team of Engineers to be led by a suitably experienced Civil / Structural Engineer with a minimum 5 years’ experience inspecting historic masonry structures, bridges/structures/vaults. The final reports are to be reviewed and signed off by a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer. The four individual vault systems due for inspection, forming this tender, comprise AVCY2, AVCY3, AVCY5 and AVCY6. The particular (non-exhaustive list of) project objectives are: 1. Carry out a close-up visual inspection of arches using a safe system of work in accordance with the HSA code of practice for working in a confined space and working at height.
