Description
The Partnership for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB, www.peeb.build) is a modular and scalable partnership for accelerating the transition to a zero-emission and resilient built environment. PEEB provides attractive financing solutions for construction and renovation projects with a high climate impact potential, and targeted policy advice and capacity-building to improve the framework conditions for such projects. PEEB Cool provides technical assistance and financial support to 11 countries in hot climates across Africa (Djibouti, Morocco, Nigeria, Tunisia), Asia (Indonesia, Sri Lanka), Eastern Europe (Albania, North Macedonia), and Latin America (Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico) to fight the negative effects of climate change, improve energy efficiency in buildings, and increase resilience to extreme climate events, economic crises, and energy scarcity. PEEB Cool uses a unique combination of financing and policy approaches to scale up ambitious projects for energy efficiency and resilience and achieve long-lasting sector transformation.
