Description
The project "Organisational Consulting of the ECOWAS Commission" advises experts and executives of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) in shaping key change processes within the ECOWAS Commission. The measure seeks to increase the ability of the ECOWAS Commission to fully carry out its tasks in the interests of the member states and their populations and thus meet the high expectations placed on the regional organisation. It is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with co-financing of the European Union (EU). As such, the project seeks to improve the ECOWAS Commission's ability to visibly communicate the effects achieved by ECOWAS and to counteract disinformation. Communication through the ECOWAS commission is perceived as an additional instrument towards implementing Vision 2050 in a results-oriented and gender-sensitive manner.
