Description

Within the framework of the Global Programme, the contractor will contribute to achieving the outputs 1 and 3 of the project by providing on-demand specialized international or regional technical short-term expertise as well as facilitation and training services in very close coordination with the GIZ project team, and according to the specific needs of each intervention country. The services will be delivered for about one third virtually or in Germany, two thirds in the intervention countries. Due to the wide geographical variety, the sequence of the assignments cannot be planned in detail in advance. The GIZ will furnish ToRs for each of the requested consulting assignments. The contractor is responsible for providing the following work packages: Work package 1: on-demand advice to NBSAP update and implementation, covering the topics a) GBF monitoring and reporting, b) synergies with other development agendas, c) OECM, d) biodiversity financing incl. harmful subsidies, e) private sector engagement, f) ecosystem restoration, g) Strategic Environmental Assessment, f) project proposals and fundraising.
