Description
Background: RTÉ (Raidió Teilifís Éireann) RTÉ is Ireland’s national public service media organisation, providing cost-effective, free-to-air multimedia services to the public in Ireland and interested audiences internationally. RTÉ operates six linear television channels, nine radio stations and digital services including rte.ie website and the RTÉ player. These carry a mix of in-house produced, commissioned and acquired content. RTÉ radio has the largest share of listening in the Republic of Ireland, while also serving a global diaspora via web and apps. RTÉ radio services can be accessed on FM and Saorview, while live and playback radio services and podcasts are also accessible via the RTÉ website, RTÉ’s own app and third-party apps. Background: Radioman RTÉ is currently undertaking a market exploration exercise to identify the potential for a single third party to deliver RTÉ’s support requirements for RTÉ’s Radioman system. Radioman is a proprietary solution developed and maintained by Jutel oy of Finland, which supports broadcast radio studio production.
