Description
Die Zukunft-Umwelt-Gesellschaft gGmbH wurde vom Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz (BMUV) beauftragt, einen geeigneten Vertragspartner zu finden, der die Administration, inhaltliche Ausgestaltung und Durchführung des Vorhabens „Green-AI Hub Mittelstand“ zur Stärkung der Entwicklung und Erprobung von KI-Technologien für Materialeinsparung und Ressourcenschutz sowie den Transfer in die betriebliche Anwendung umsetzen soll. Anwendungsbeispiele sind unter anderem die vorausschauende Wartung (Predictive Maintenance), die Prozess- und Produktoptimierung oder eine verbesserte Logistikplanung. Die Steigerung der Ressourceneffizienz ist ein zentraler Hebel, nicht nur um Umweltwirkungen zu verbessern, sondern auch gleichzeitig Kosten zu senken. Trotz dieser Vorteile wird die Steigerung der Ressourceneffizienz mit Hilfe von KI in Unternehmen häufig noch als Nebeneffekt gesehen und nicht gezielt vorangetrieben. Des Weiteren lag der Fokus bisheriger Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Ressourceneffizienz weitestgehend auf der Ressource Energie.
