Access to detailed and high-frequent international capital flow data is essential for facilitating research on capital flows, thereby addressing a core need to inform Danmarks Nationalbank's financial market analysis and support the central bank in fulfilling its mandate. Specifically, ob-taining capital flow data with a higher frequency than currently availa-ble through public sources, such as the IMF's Balance of Payments sta-tistics, would enhance Danmarks Nationalbank's ability to comprehend capital flow developments in real time in times of geopolitical changes and potential periods of financial volatility as well as during potential periods of stress in the foreign exchange market.
