Description
For the last 7 years Somerset Council has commissioned a service known as Creative Solutions for Complex Individuals. Individuals accessing the service are homeless or at high risk of homelessness alongside other risk factors to their wellbeing including, but not limited to, mental ill health, substance misuse or a history of contact with the criminal justice system. The existing contract is coming to an end in March 2026, and we are looking to recommission this service. Somerset continues to have a need for a service that supports people with these types of multiple disadvantages and exclusions; enabling those who are homeless and most at risk of homelessness, to be supported to maintain their tenancy, identify suitable accommodation, while providing support for mental health needs, substance abuse and other behaviours of distress. The new contract will be known as the 'Trauma Informed Service: Support to Adults facing Homelessness and Multiple Exclusions in Somerset.'
