Description
A new framework will be established for the supply of hydrometric data loggers capable of cardinal point logging functionality. Additionally, the framework will include after sales technical support and cover the supply of spare parts and modules necessary for the repair and maintenance of data logging equipment acquired under this agreement. The Environment Agency (EA) is transitioning to a unified Schneider-based National telemetry system, consolidating six legacy systems. Field equipment is managed and maintained by fourteen area-based operational teams, each responsible for ensuring reliable data collection and logging from environmental monitoring sites. Loggers with the option to meet some of our future telemetry requirements will also be considered as part of this framework. As part of this telemetry system transition, the EA is adopting modern communication protocols including DNP3, WITS-DNP3, Lucid, and IP-based packet-switched data transmission.
