Description
This is a notice to inform the market the procurement has been abandoned. The Tier 3 service across Norfolk and Waveney was advertised to offer the opportunity for service users who meet the qualifying criteria to access comprehensive support via a weight management programme tailored to their needs including reasonable adjustments in line with NICE Guidance. The Tier 3 weight management service was to incorporate both standard services and enhanced services for those service users with more complex health needs (co-morbidities) either independently or in partnership with other providers. The service aimed to: • Encourage long term behaviour change by offering a programme which promotes physical activity; promotes healthy eating and supports the psychological barriers to unhealthy relationships with food; supports and recognises the relationship between mental health and obesity and offers a system throughout the programme which will support the psychological needs of everyone who attends. • Reduce the number of people living with obesity in Norfolk and Waveney, thereby improving long-term health, reducing the burden of disease, and decreasing the need for social care, while al…
