Description
The Contracting Authority is procuring a targeted prostate cancer screening pathway with a focus on men at increased risk due to an inherited BRCA2 variant utilising the competitive provider selection process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. NHS England is seeking a provider to deliver a national centralised Prostate MRI Reporting Service to support the Targeted Prostate Cancer Screening Programme for England. The service will provide specialist reporting of prostate MRI examinations for Programme Participants requiring MRI following an above-threshold PSA result. The scope will include image receipt or access, case acceptance, specialist human double reporting, lesion delineation where required, expert arbitration, structured report production and authorisation, secure report return, acknowledgement and Failsafe arrangements, quality assurance, escalation, Programme data reporting, audit and governance participation. Diagnostic MRI scanning is outside the scope of this procurement.
