Description
This procurement covers supply and installation of all liquid storage applications including gravity storage/process tanks, silos, pressure vessels, including chemical storage and underground storage. Where relevant, Reg 31, PER (Pressure Equipment Regulations) / PSSR (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations) and DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations) regulations shall be followed. Tanks shall be manufactured to relevant UK industry standards and comply with Anglian Water asset standards and AW amended WIMES and CESWI. Covers and roofs shall be supplied where requested and, where required, all covers and roofs shall be fully self-supported by the tank. Permanent Access Fabrications (PAFs), including stairways and platforms - access stairways and platforms shall be fully self-supported by the tank Testing - tanks shall be fully water-tested and where a working pressure is specified (above ambient) the tank shall be pressure tested in accordance with UK industry standards and AW asset standards.
