Description
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using the most suitable provider process. North East & North Cumbria ICB previously commissioned two separate children’s speech & language therapy services: one covering the South Tees footprint (Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland local authorities) and one covering the North Tees footprint (Darlington, Stickton & Hartlepool local authorities). Those contracts both end on 31st March 2025. The ICB have commissioned a Tees Valley Children & Young People’s Speech & Language Therapy Service (covering the 5 local authority areas). South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust were awarded the contract as Most Suitable Provider. Within the tender document South Tees described the intention to sub-contract with North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the new service specification across the North Tees footprint.
