Description
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is undertaking preliminary market engagement in advance of a potential procurement for the provision of Revenues and Benefits services. The current contract for the Authority's Revenues and Benefits service delivery is due to expire on 7 May 2028. The Authority is therefore considering its future delivery model and is seeking to engage with suppliers that are capable of delivering a full end to end Revenue and Benefits Service to inform its strategic approach. This includes consideration of a range of options, including fully outsourced, in-house or a shared service model. The scope of services under consideration is expected to include, but is not limited to: • Council Tax and Business Rates administration and collection • Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support administration • Customer contact and service delivery in relation to the services • Revenues enforcement and recovery up to liability order stage • Fraud prevention, quality assurance and compliance activity • Digital service delivery and channel shift The purpose of this engagement is to: • Understand current market capability and capacity to deliver Revenues and Benefits services •…
