Description
Derbyshire County Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to undertake comprehensive roofing, structural, and building envelope refurbishment works at Whitfield St James CEVC Primary School, Glossop, Derbyshire. The project places particular emphasis on the integrity and performance of the roof and supporting structural elements, alongside improvements to windows and doors. The scope of works includes: • Removal and replacement of pitched roof coverings, including structural repairs to roof timbers, rafters, and associated components where deterioration has occurred. • Renewal of flat roof systems, incorporating upgraded insulation and waterproofing layers to meet modern thermal and environmental standards. • Replacement of rainwater goods, including gutters, downpipes, and fittings to ensure effective drainage and protection of the building fabric. • Replacement of structural lintels, beams, and other load-bearing elements, particularly where deterioration or non-compliance has been identified, to restore and maintain the building's structural integrity. • Removal of existing timber-framed windows and external doors, and installation of new aluminium systems to improve…
