Description
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), on behalf of His Majestys Coastguard (HMCG), intends to procure a future Fleet Management service to support its nationally dispersed and operationally critical vehicle fleet. HMCG is the UKs only national maritime emergency service, responsible for coordinating search and rescue operations, and relies on a diverse fleet of vehicles and associated assets to maintain operational readiness across coastal mainland locations and remote island communities. The proposed procurement will seek a supplier capable of delivering an integrated, end tobend fleet management solution. This is expected to include the day to day management of vehicles, planned and reactive maintenance, MOT compliance, and breakdown and recovery services, delivered on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year basis. The service must ensure high levels of fleet availability, reliability and responsiveness to support time critical emergency operations. Due to the geographically dispersed nature of the HMCG estate, including remote and hard to reach locations, a key requirement will be the ability to deliver consistent service coverage across the United Kingdom.
