Description
Protecting Communities II (ProCom II) is a multi year blended ODA/non-ODA programme designed to reduce those shared threats by strengthening Pakistan’s security, justice, and migration management systems. It builds on the previous UK-funded Cooperation on Serious Crime Programme (CSCP), moving to a longer-term platform that enables sustained engagement and deeper reform. ProCom II will take a “whole-of-route” approach. It will be aligned with the UK’s “Disrupt, Deter, Return” strategy: tackling the drivers of irregular migration at source, enhancing law enforcement cooperation to disrupt criminal networks, and facilitating the return of those with no right to remain in the UK. The Programme will adopt a systems-based design rooted in the UK’s CONTEST/SOC “4Ps” framework (Prevent, Pursue, Protect, Prepare) to ensure a comprehensive response.
