Description
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) are undertaking a Pre-Market Engagement (PME) activity for the below requirement. The NFRS Estates department will be initiating a project throughout this financial year for a compartment fire behaviour unit & associated building works. As you may be aware, we are required to adhere to strict procurement procedures. This Pre-Market Engagement (PME) activity seeks information relating to the NFRS Compartment Fire Behaviour Training facilities. The Compartment Fire Behaviour Training (CFBT) Unit is a specialist risk critical, mandatory training requirement for operational crews. The unit provides firefighting crews with the ability to initiate and sustain a carbonaceous fire and facilitate the release or containment of fire gases in a safe, controlled environment. The unit can be used to demonstrate the correct door entry procedure, extinguishing, cooling and ventilation techniques allowing students to understand the hazards and risks presented by this environment.
