Description
Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking to engage with suppliers in the materials handling market, as part of a pre-tender engagement exercise to gain information to inform an upcoming procurement for the provision of Recycling Materials Outlet Management. The management / brokerage arrangement will ensure that the successful tendering company will obtain best values for recycling streams with a positive market value being obtained and lowest cost for those with a gate fee to recycle. The successful tenderer will charge a priced annual management fee for its costs and operating margin for the service, whilst costs and income in relation to the recycling materials will be passed directly onto BCBC. For efficiency and effectiveness, the Council has decided to adopt a brokerage model to manage all its recycling product in the scope of this Invitation and so is seeking interest from organisations able to broker all waste streams over individual material specialists.
