Description
Birmingham City Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint an organisation for the provision of 24/7 emergency works contract to aid Birmingham City Council in fulfilling its responsibilities under the various ‘Unsecure’ and ‘Dangerous Structures’ legislation. The contract will commence on 01 January 2026 and the contract duration will be 36 months. Overview of the Opportunity The successful Contractor will be expected to provide a single point of contact for the attending Building Surveyor/Council Officer to call upon whilst out on an emergency call-out. The Contractor is expected to bring their expertise to the contract and assist the Building Surveyor/Council Officer to determine the ‘best fit’ solution to the problem at hand. The Contractor will then organise relevant labour, materials and plant to perform the works as required by the Building Surveyor/Council Officer. The Contractor will attend site and liaise with all relevant parties to bring a satisfactory conclusion to the event.
