Description
Nexus are looking for a design and build contract to undertake the improvement of existing facilities at South Gosforth Control Centre for staff to create a fit for purpose working environment. The aim of the project is to improve the existing facilities at South Gosforth Control Centre for staff to create a fit for purpose working environment. The building was constructed in 1980 and has undergone limited refurbishment in 2014 and 2021/22. There is a requirement for a more flexible working environment and improved welfare facilities from users to align with Nexus Places principles. However, following investigations of the structure and its systems several assets require renewal or upgrades to achieve compliance, including security measures. The Control Centre must remain operational 24/7 during the project. We are looking for a contractor to undertake the design and build contract for the refurbishment of the Control Centre.
