Description
Hampshire Transport Management (HTM) are a trading arm of the Council who operate a Hire Desk as part of their business. The Hire Desk books short term vehicles on a self-hire basis and manages the booking, invoicing, recharging and also manages the suppliers. The Hire Desk hires anything from a small car up to minibuses and anything in between. The Hire Desk service is open to internal directorates of the Council and other external organisations. To assist the Hire Desk in offering hire bookings to the Council and its external customers, the Council currently has a 4-year framework in place for the hire of vehicles, which expires 14 November 2025. The Councils current intention is to put a new framework in place by winter 2025, commencing for a period of 4 years. The proposal is to put in place a multi-supplier framework, lotted by area, with no limit to the number of suppliers to be awarded onto each lot. The new framework may also include an additional lot covering the provision of a car club scheme in Hampshire. The method for calling-off contracts from the framework is under review.
