Description
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is undertaking preliminary market engagement to inform its procurement and commercial strategy for a future Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract. NHSBT currently operates a multi-supplier facilities management model, with separate contracts for services including cleaning, planned and reactive maintenance, security, grounds maintenance and waste management. NHSBT is considering a transition to an integrated TFM model in order to support: • consistent service standards across approximately 85 sites; • improved operational efficiency and resilience; • simplified governance and accountability; and • enhanced value for money through integrated service delivery. NHSBT is also seeking insight into a Facilities Management (FM) platform to support service delivery under an NEC4-based contractual framework. This includes support contract administration, performance management, asset data integration, workflow automation, and collaborative working in alignment with NEC4 principles.
