Description

London Underground Limited (LUL), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Transport for London (TfL), the statutory corporation responsible for the transport network in London. London Underground Limited (LUL) engineering and maintenance is managed by Transport for London (TfL), the public body running the Tube, with the LUL Asset Performance Directorate overseeing the actual upkeep, renewal, and modernisation of its vast, historic infrastructure (tracks, signals, stations ) using in-house teams and external specialist contractors. The Directorate utilise the services of well-established reputable Haulage companies to provide strictly heavy road haulage services for the collection and delivery of various Engineering Vehicles (EV) assets to Ruislip and other internal LUL sites to and from various suppliers' facilities or around the LUL network. Railway carriages, wagons and engineering vehicles ('EV') are the principal part of London Underground ('LU') services assets. These assets will sometimes need transporting by road for operational purposes or maintenance such as overhauling.
