Description
Industry Engagement Event Following publication of the Strategic Defence Review (SDR) and the Defence Industrial Strategy, the MOD is seeking to engage with Industry to discuss opportunities of the MOD Industry boundary in delivering Munition capability and increased resilience within the Supply Chain. To that end, MoD would like to invite Industry to an update on the Segmented Sourcing Strategy (SSS) and one-to-one engagements on the 8 Jan 26 at the Battlelab. It is inviting feedback on this subject in relation to the current requirement for the provision of c. 188 individual munitions (subject to confirmation via future Contract Tender Notice), covering various small arms ammunition, explosive munitions and pyrotechnics, and services surrounding this. This engagement will build on previous industry days around this procurement. DE&S (Defence Equipment & Support) hopes to gain further information on how this service could be delivered to maximise innovation and agility, and to better understand how the MoD can support onshoring within the munitions space.
