Description
The Baglan Bay site, in the South Wales area was previously operated as a chemical works and was acquired in 2022. The aspiration for the development of the site is to transform the area through the creation of high-quality jobs, creating a safe and higher quality environment for local people, and to contribute to the wider redevelopment of the region. However, due to previous usage of the site, remediation will be required to safely bring the site back into the wider public sphere. The Welsh Government is providing potential market participants with early notice of the forthcoming Baglan Contamination Remediation Procurement. This notices, and supporting document provides preliminary details in respect of the background, objectives and intended delivery approach for the Project , to enable interested organisations to consider and prepare for the formal tender process, which is expected to commence in Q3/Q4 2026.
