Description
In view of the expanding work under the Waste and Marine Litter Programme, GRID-Arendal seeks to renew the services of an Expert in waste and marine plastic pollution issues to increase the programme´s impact. The expert will undertake the following tasks: Provide statistical and data analyses in support of GRID-Arendal’s research and publications linked to the Inter-Governmental Negotiating Committee sessions. The task entails complementing the work of other Waste and Marine Litter team members in preparing knowledge products, banners, press releases, powerpoint slides and other products for use before, during and after INC events Completion of on-going research, writing, editing and publishing of journal articles, books and monographs on marine plastic pollution as defined and greed with the Waste and Marine Litter Head of Programme. The primary focus of the task is to clear all legacy papers that are yet to be submitted and accepted by journals. Provide training, in person and virtually, on key elements of the draft texts of the plastics instrument currently under negotiation through the INC sessions.
