Description
Our primary focus is to provide deep-sequencing in context of domain knowledge mainly focused on animal health & disease , including pathogens, and its environment. Nevertheless, the facility should be open to collaborations (or as a “spill-over”) for parties working from other WUR science domains. The system must be capable of supporting the following 6 requirements / needs: 1. Diversity of type of sequencing runs, e.g., paired-end sequencing 50bp to 300bp o Exome o Target-enrichment o Whole Genome o Deep Amplicon o Transcriptome o Micro-RNAs o Long-read haplotyping 2. Possibility to perform multiplexing 3. Environmentally friendly reagents with a long shelf-life (up to a year) 4. Authorship transfer and data transfer via a cloud-based system 5. Possibility to execute workflows, from pre-processing to statistical analyses, via cloud-based system 6. Fast generation of high quality data (e.g., 500 GB – 1 TB), within 48 hours
