Description
The University Hospital of North Norway intends to procure a sample preparation robot Tecan Fluent 1080 with accompanying software from the supplier Triolab. The system shall be used for sample preparation of biological sample material for analysing environmental toxins at the Environmental Pollutant Laboratory. The Environmental Pollutant Laboratory relies on acquiring a sample preparation robot based on liquid displacement pipetting (automated fluid handling robot) to avoid cross-contamination of volatile and semi-volatile compounds during sample preparation, and in order to ensure the research quality. Tecan ́s sample preparation robots are the only ones on the market that use the liquid displacement pipetting technology. The system liquid will be replaced after each step during sample preparation, or more frequently if needed. Cones (the part where the pipette tips are mounted for pipetting) are washed simultaneously and are cleaned from any aerosols that adsorb there. The terms in PPR § 13-4 b no. 2 have been assessed as fulfilled. Any contract will be signed after the waiting period has expired.
