Die gematik betreibt für die firmeneigene IT Infrastruktur seit dem Jahr 2012 eine Virtualisierungsplattform, was primär aus den Software Lösungen der Hersteller Broadcom, Omnissa und Veeam besteht. Die Software Wartung und die Software Subscription für alle VMware und Veeam Lizenzen laufen nun zum Ende des Jahres 2024 aus. Mit dieser Ausschreibung beabsichtigt die gematik die Software Nutzung inklusive der. Software Wartung und Support für die Lösungen der genannten drei Software Hersteller einheitlich für eine Laufzeit von 36 Monaten zu beschaffen.
