Het masterplan (de strategische visie) voor Oostkamp centrum “Futureproof Oostkamp 2040” stelt een aantal krijtlijnen voorop waaraan strategische projecten binnen Oostkamp afgetoetst worden. Op die manier wordt er stap voor stap gebouwd aan een levendig, aantrekkelijk en groen centrum. De site wordt aldus verkocht onder voorwaarden. De gemeente Oostkamp richt zich daarbij tot kandidaat-kopers die een samenwerkingsverband aangaan met een ontwerpteam met ervaring en dat wordt aangeduid voor het volledige project.
