Am Campus Nord soll ein Ersatzneubau für die Werkfeuerwehr errichtet werden. Die Werkfeuerwehr ist als Sicherheitseinrichtung für den abwehrenden Brandschutz auf dem gesamten Campus für die Einrichtungen KIT, KTE und JRC tätig. Sie ist Ausbildungsstätte für Feuerwehrfachleute und bietet Beratungsleistungen in der anlagentechnischen sowie baulichen Brandschutzplanung.
