Hankinnan kohteena on väestönsuojan tarvikkeet (VSS-tarvikkeet) Tampereen Tilapalvelut Oy:n ylläpitämiin väestönsuojiin. Väestönsuojat sijaitsevat pääosin Tampereen kaupungin omistamissa palvelurakennuksissa. Tarkemmin hankinnassa on kyse olemassa olevien VSS-tarvikkeiden päivittämisestä ja puutteiden täydentämisestä.
