Die Oberfinanzdirektion Karlsruhe (Landeszentrum für Datenverarbeitung, LZfD) hat in Stuttgart an zwei Standorten hochverfügbare und ausfallsichere Rechenzentren. Das LZfD betreibt hierfür eigenverantwortlich eine komplexe, standortübergreifende SAN-Infrastruktur inklusive mehrerer angeschlossener Storageeinheiten. Zusätzlich werden für ein-zelne Kunden Vorort-Insellösungen betreut.
