Description

Grimstad municipality shall procure a turnkey contract for the construction of a new primary school with an accompanying before-and-after-school care at Fjære. The school shall have a capacity of 350 pupils and 65 employees. The building shall first and foremost be facilitated for school purposes, but in addition it shall also be used by others in the local environment outside of school hours. This is a building that many will have a relationship with. The facility will be an important arena for identity building, social relationships as well as cultural and physical activity. The turnkey contractor shall be responsible for i.a. engineering design services, demolition of existing buildings, ground works, construction of a new school as well as operation and maintenance of heating installations for five years after the hand-over. The start-up of the contract works will be as soon as possible after the contract has been signed. The hand over (final deadline) is set to 01.12.2025 with 24 months trial operation. Framework permission has been granted for the initiative.
