Oslo municipality needs to capture media coverage, reactions, opinions and ideas from communities, government agencies and various interest groups, as well as specific and current news stories in national, regional, local, trade and social media. Oslo municipality ́s entities shall be able to get an overview of the development and tendencies in the media, and facilitate the communication work thereafter. The aim is that the service shall improve the possibility of dialogue with inhabitants and a better understanding of how inhabitants as users and participants experience the municipality ́s services and offers. Businesses need early knowledge on elements in the media that can affect operation and reputation, and the service should provide an increased opportunity to quickly react to postings in the news that require it.
